Our story

Since its inception in the 1950s, GR Ljubljana has been a stage for landmark moments. As early as 1955, we hosted our first international fairs and exhibitions, and just a year later, the national television broadcaster opened its first studio right here at our venue. Our stages have welcomed world-renowned legends such as Louis Armstrong, while our halls have played host to numerous world championships, international congresses, and fair premieres. The venue features modern functionalist architecture designed by prominent Slovenian architects, and today these structures are protected as cultural heritage.
